South Beach Master Bath Tile Installation

For SFGiants fans in a condo across the street from AT&T Park, my design for @crossvilleinc #tile in an updated master suite is well into construction.

The existing fixtures and finishes, original to the building, were starting to show their age. In addition to giving the clients the updated look they were seeking, I was able to expand the shower and give them some more functional storage.

Another component to the project was getting approval for the plans from the Homeowners’ Association. Appropriately, there are strict criteria that need to be met for noise transmission and the like. I’m happy to report that I now know much more about IIC ratings as a result!

Here’s a sneak peek at the installation. Play ball!

From Rendering to Reality

We’re still wrapping up a few details on the job in Oakland, but the clients are happily ensconced in their new home.  There were a ton of cosmetic changes throughout the property, but the big change was converting an in-law unit into a spacious master suite.  The master bath features a shower and tub wet area.  The design intent was to keep it clean and simple, and this tile work does just that.

San Francisco Artist

Last night we went to a reception for San Francisco-based artist Marius Starkey at Supervisor Scott Weiner’s office in City Hall. The recent works he was showing were really lovely – especially the landscapes that exhibited beautiful light and movement.
