Project Description

While the earliest developers built working class homes in Noe Valley for first generation immigrants, starting in the 1970’s professionals flocked there due to its gorgeous views and proximity to both San Francisco and the peninsula.  This hillside house was ready to expand from modest roots into a luxury home for a recently retired homeowner.  We created a new layout that fit his current active life while being ready to accommodate changes as he aged.  Sweeping views of downtown San Francisco are the focal point of the main level, with a glamorous entertaining space and a modern kitchen with beautiful marble countertops.  The floorplan was expanded to include three bedrooms with ample space for friends and family visiting;  It also includes an office and den area for his role as a consultant and mentor, and an elevator to ensure he could enjoy all levels of his home as he aged. Fun, eye-popping custom fabrics were used on Quintus dining chairs, Baker living room chairs and pillows throughout, while warm modern brass added a pop of elegance to light fixtures and furniture.
